Mom’ s Tied Wool Quilt. My Aunt Ruth in Kitchener found wool fabric from a suit factory. She gave some to Mom and she made this quilt. It is tied very close together because Mom felt the batting would separate if she didn’t. This was a heavy quilt, really warm. We needed it in that old farmhouse. In Mom and Dad’ s room the glass of water would get a little ice on top, on frigid winter nights. Oh the memories this quilt brings back.
